These stunning, crispy, crunchy, sweet and salty Roasted Candied Walnuts are truly addictive. If you don't have walnuts or you prefer a different nut or a variety, then go for it!
All you need is four ingredients, one sheet pan, and some parchment paper. You can make this recipe in batches as small or large as you prefer. Just be sure they're roasted in a single layer on the pan. Incorporate these candied nuts into salads, soups, savory chicken dishes, sprinkle them over ice cream, yogurt, or oatmeal, or just snack on them throughout the day to satisfy your craving for a midday snack.

Yield: 1 Cups
½ tablespoon coconut sugar
¼ cup maple syrup
1 cup raw walnuts (pieces, halves, or whole, whatever you prefer)
Flaky salt for topping
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Using a fork, whisk the coconut sugar and maple together in a bowl until the sugar dissolves and thick syrup forms.
Add the walnuts and stir until coated.
Pour everything on to a parchment paper lined sheet pan in a single layer and bake for 30 minutes, tossing halfway through cook time and making sure the nuts remain in a single layer.
When you remove the nuts from the oven, toss them once more immediately, and then, still in a single layer, sprinkle with flaky salt. Allow the nuts to sit for 10-15 minutes to crystallize.
Once hardened, break the nuts apart by crumbling the parchment paper in your hands. Store in an airtight jar or container.
